Project Description
Fast-charging Romania and Croatia – TEN-T
Renovatio and Telekom Croatia say they will install 23 fast-charging stations in Romania throughout this year. The EV stops are part of a wider initiative that entails 69 DC charging stations in Croatia and Romania to be set up with EU funding.
On top, four ultra-fast charging stations will be connected to the network that is emerging along the roads of the two Eastern European countries. The network is part of the pan-European transport network TEN-T and in this case covers Mediterranean (Croatia), Rhine-Danube and Orient and East-Med (Romania).
The highest investments, that is 3.1 million euros will be covered by Renovatio in Romania, where they will install 53 fast charging stations and 3 ultra-fast charging stations. The first two charging stations in Deva and Pitesti are standing already while other EV pit stops have also gone live in Bucarest, Targu Mures and Timisoara.
All stations will be positioned in a distance of about 80 kilometres from one another and will allow charging two electric cars at a time. Renovatio operates 61 charging points in 30 locations in big cities and along main road corridors in Romania.
